We hire people who would rather close 8 PRs than present at the all-hands. Velocity over performance.
2. Customer access. Always.
Every engineer talks to customers. Every engineer hears the call where the missed-call automation worked. We do not isolate the team behind a PM layer.
3. Own the layer end-to-end.
You ship the back-end change, the front-end glue, the migration, the observability hook, and the customer release note. No hand-off across roles.
4. Compound, not patch.
We refactor toward a shared model when we see three similar one-offs. We do not paper over the third with a feature flag.
5. Founder access throughout.
Porter, the founder, is on every code review and every hiring decision. You will know him before you sign.
